How cold is Antarctica?

The average annual temperature of the interior is around −57°C (−70°F). In the middle of the continent, which is also above 10,000 ft. due to the thickness of the ice, mostly, it routinely dips below -100 Fahrenheit during the winter. The official lowest temperature is -128.6 F.
