Seeing the unseen

“The creative process starts with looking intentionally for common and ordinary spaces. These are the spaces most people never notice.  I look for the broken sidewalk, the stained concrete wall, the abandoned loading dock, and the parking garage. I have developed an “eye” for seeing what others do not see. I see texture, contrast, shade, tone, hue, depth, and perspective in an ordinary sidewalk. I also see potential, wonder, and mystery. I am learning to see the unseen.” (Kurt Caddy)
